There are 3rd party tools like DDU to simplify this process.
clean install means: download the newest drivers + uninstall all previous (GPU/network) drivers, before installing a different version. 
Some Laptop manufacturers use customized GPU drivers, try to use these instead, if you run into issues. drivers are all updated (especially graphics / network drivers), ideally a clean install. operating system or hard-drive has no errors and enough free disk space. Broadband internet connection (preferably NOT wireless, especially if you want to play multiplayer). DirectX compatible sound card / on-board chipset. Operating system: Windows 7++ 64 Bit (ideally with Service Pack 1++ Build 7601++). GeForce m970 is equivalent to GeForce GTX ~770 to ~960. GeForce m960 is equivalent to GeForce GTX ~760 to ~950. 
Laptop / mobile GPU model performance is usually behind desktop PC performance. With DirectX 11++ support and 1,5 GB++ video RAM
GPU: GeForce GTX 480 / GTX 570 or better. CPU: i3 4160 (3,60 GHz with at least 4 normal or virtual cores/threads). meets the official minimum system requirements.
